a house

One of my most favorite things about blogging is reading other blogs and especially one's that post about their homes and all the love they give to make a house a home.
Many inspire me to want to capture them in a work of art.
To be honest, I am not completely happy with this one.
I still want to work on it.  I feel my artwork needs something more.... but I am sharing it with you anyway and sending it off to;
Joan shares every corner of her home so graciously in each and every post all year long.
Every house should be loved like this.
I really want to try to paint this one in oil.

Patricia - What a fantastic homage to Joan's beautiful home. Your work is always so dreamy and delihtful! Would love to see it in oil (I'll bet Joan would, too!). Bravo.

I love Joan's home! You captured her home beautifully Patricia! Joan, is the gal who shared about the house blessing. I was able to get a cross like hers. I put a prayer and message in a bottle (just like the one that was sent to you)behind a wall. To be discovered long after we are gone. She also double won my heart not only for her wonderful ideas, beautiful home, but she rescued her pup! xo

Patricia... It is PERFECT!! I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!! I am so touched and honored by this gift of your art ....You captured the true essence of the house in such beautiful details- from the flag...my father's flag, to the rocking chairs on the back porch, to the antique windows, to the tree- the bark of that tree looks exactly like that in real life!, the cobble walkway, the leaves on the tree, the front porch light, the yogurt pot, the stones under the porch.... you captured her "soul". I am overwhelmed by this beautiful piece of art from your heart.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

I will let you know when she arrives!

I think it is pretty, I love the simplicity. In a black or deep olive green frame it would be stunning. So many special details.

I'm 99% sure we are going to commission you to paint my parents home! What type of lead time do you need? How large are they?
