handy door knocker

A dear friend spotted my door to door post yesterday and sent this wonderful "door knocker" which she took a photo of while in France.  Don't you love the the color of the door and that door knocker truly must come in handy!

It makes me think of all the hands that have reached out before me. It's wonderful.

The aged patina really is beautiful! Recently, I have featured an entire series of door knockers on my blog, if you are interested in seeing more!

I've wanted one of these for so long -- but this one is so perfectly worn and used. Beautiful!

Oh, I love that.

On vacation, I tend to take photos of door knockers too. I have a thing with doors ;)

Beautiful!

I have a love of door knockers. My husband has an antique one on the door of his studio...a bronze owl with green eyes.

I have a thing for doorknockers, specifically fox door knockers. I have seen this specific one before. On a door. Somewhere.
